Robert Decrow was a resident of Perquimans County, North Carolina by 1775. A prominent land owner and owner of a local ordinary or tavern in Hertford, in 1783 Decrow signed a petition in support of James, a local African American man who was trying to maintain his freedom. Decrow died in Perquimans in about 1784.
