Solomon King was a merchant in Edenton, North Carolina. In 1752 Serina, an African American woman that King had enslaved, broke into King's store and stole from Richard Bell, another resident of Edenton. When the court found Serina guilty of the crime and sentenced her to death, the court also gave King £50 as compensation for the loss of his enslaved person. King died in Edenton in about 1762.
