At a Special Court called and held at the Court house in Edenton on Friday the Seventeenth of November In the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred & fifty two for the Tryal of a negroe woman Slave called Serina belonging to Solomon King of Edenton aforesd. pursuant to the Directions of an Act of the General Assembly of the said Province Intitled An Act concerning Servants and Slaves Which said negro was then and there duly convicted of and condemned for felloneously Stealing & carrying away a Chest out of the said Solomon Kings Store at Edenton aforesaid and Stealing out of the sd. Chest the Sum of thirty three Pounds Current Money of the Colony of Virginia being the Property of One Richard Bell

These may certify that we the said Justices and Freeholders, According to the Directions of the before recited Act do value the said Negroe woman Slave called Serina, at fifty Pounds Proclamation Money And we do hereby further certify that William Mearns acted as Clerk to the said Special Court and that he has not received any Fee or Reward for the Same Witness our Hands & Seals at Edenton the Day & year first above written
