Biographical Description

Samuel Marshall was a resident of Wilmington, North Carolina. An owner of enslaved people, Marshall served on the local freeholders court in 1768 when it heard a case involving an enslaved individual. Marshall later served as a member of Wilmington's Committee of Safety in 1775. He died sometime after 1775.
