Biographical Description

Lucy Green was married to Dr. Thomas Hall and the couple owned several plantations in the Cape Fear region of North Carolina. In 1769 Lucy Hall survived a poisoning attempt orchestrated by Will, an African American man enslaved by her mother-in-law. Hall was a resident of Brunswick County, North Carolina and died sometime after her husband's death in 1773.
