Biographical Description

David Fanning was born in Virginia in 1755. After moving to South Carolina, he joined the loyalist cause and recruited throughout central North Carolina. He was promoted to Colonel and notably fought at the Battle of Lindley's Mill. Fanning relocated to Canada after the American Revolution and died in Nova Scotia in 1825.
