Biographical Description

John Clark was born in Randolph County, North Carolina, on July 10, 1799. In 1845, he applied for a veteran's pension on behalf of his father, William, who had served as a Captain in the American Revolution but had refused to apply for a pension himself since he became a Quaker after the War. The application was rejected. John Clark died in Randolph County in 1882.
