Biographical Description
Born January 23, 1898, in Orange County, Virginia. During World War I, Scott served with the Coast Artillery Corps of the North Carolina National Guard and then Battery B of the 2nd Trench Mortar Battalion. From May 1918 to June 1919, he served overseas. Following the war, he embarked on a long career in Hollywood under the name Randolph Scott.
