Biographical Description

James Beauchamp "Champ" Clark was born on March 7, 1850, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. A longtime resident of Missouri, Clark represented the state in the U. S. House of Representatives, serving as Speaker of the House from 1911 to 1919. He died on March 2, 1921.
