Biographical Description

Jerosiah Everett (c1849-c1813) was a resident of Tyrrell and later Washington Counties. On July 4, 1777 after being approached by Daniel Leggett, he swore three oaths at Thomas Harrison's house and became a member of the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. When the plot was discovered, Everett gave a deposition about his knowledge and involvement in the plot and gave bond to appear before the Edenton District Court for Oyer and Terminer.
