Frank Paul Blair was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina, on July 9, 1877. Blair was a lifelong resident of Wilkes County, where he grew up on his family farm. Later in life, he opened a grocery store in North Wilkesboro and founded the North Wilkesboro Ice and Fuel Company. Blair died in North Wilkesboro on April 17, 1943.
