Biographical Description
Eli Marcellas Blackburn was born in Mulberry (Wilkes County), North Carolina, on October 18, 1864. Blackburn was a merchant, real estate broker, and local politician in Wlkes County who served as an active member of the local Republican Party, chairing the county convention in 1914. He died in North Wilkesboro on November 27, 1949.
