Biographical Description

Thomas Roerty Shipp was born in Lisbon, Iowa, on August 4, 1875. Shipp was an influential businessman, newspaperman, and public relations executive based in Washington, D.C., who became an advocate of conservation efforts during the administration of President Theodore Roosevelt. He died in Dade County, Florida, on February 10, 1952.
