Thomas Henry Wright was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on January 17, 1800. A medical doctor and the president of the Bank of the Cape Fear, he also served as a local justice of the peace. In 1839 he assisted his aunt Lucy Brown in applying for a widow's pension. He died in Wilmington on September 21, 1861.
