Biographical Description
Richard Taylor was born in Virginia on January 17, 1753. He served as a Captain in the Granville County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia in 1777. In 1778 he became a captain in the North Carolina New Levies unit under Lt. Colonel Archibald Lytle and led men into Georgia. He died in Granville County, North Carolina on November 9, 1826.
