Biographical Description

William Taylor was born in Ireland around 1806. Taylor was a stonecutter who worked on the construction of the state capitol in Raleigh in the 1830s. While in Raleigh, he married Eliza Earp in February 1838, and the couple later relocated to Benton County, Missouri. Taylor died there about 1867.
