Biographical Description

George Wood Wilson, Sr. was born on April 7, 1867, in Lenoir, North Carolina. Wilson was a three-term solicitor for the 14th Judicial District (1911 to 1922), inclusive of his home in Gastonia. Later in life he transferred to Washington, D.C., to accept a legal position with the Department of Justice. He died in Falls Church, Virginia on June 1, 1938.
