Biographical Description

Thomas Henman arrived in Bath, North Carolina from Virginia by 1717. Called a gentleman, Henman also worked as a lawyer and moved to Chowan Precinct, North Carolina by 1720. From 1720 to 1721, Henman served as the local clerk of the court and as an attorney for clients including Nicholas Crisp. Henman disappears from North Carolina records after 1721, indicating he either died or moved elsewhere.
