Wyriot Ormond was born in Beaufort County, North Carolina in about 1707. A prominent lawyer in Beaufort County and Bath, he represented both localities in the North Carolina Colonial Assembly at various times from 1744 until his death. Ormond frequently took legal cases not only in Beaufort, but throughout northeastern North Carolina. He died in Beaufort County in about 1758.
