Biographical Description

George Barrow was a resident of Hyde County, North Carolina. An owner of enslaved people, in 1756 he served on the local freeholders court which heard a case involving Daniel, an enslaved man charged with poisoning a white woman. Barrow died in Hyde on August 27, 1788.
