Biographical Description

William Nelms was a resident of Onslow County, North Carolina. An owner of enslaved people, in 1779 Nelms served on a local freeholders court when it heard the case of Isaac, an enslaved man charged with theft. Nelms died in Onslow sometime after 1779.
