Biographical Description

Loula E. Platt was born on October 14, 1863, in Asheville, North Carolina. Platt was an influential leader of the suffrage movement in North Carolina, serving as president of the state chapter of the Equal Suffrage Association and as president of the Suffrage League of Asheville. She died in Asheville on December 27, 1934.
