Mr. Hugh McRae,
Wilmington, N.C.

My dear Mr. McRae:-

I have just written Secretary Lane urging him to visit the agricultural colonies at Wilmington before he goes to Savannah. I am going to appoint you, Dr. D. H. Hill, and Col. J. Bryan Grimes, who are deeply interested in this project, as special delegates to represent North Carolina at the Savannah meeting. Please write me the exact name of this meeting in order that I may properly fill out the commissions.

Sincerely yours,

[unsigned]

I doubt my own ability to attend the meeting.
