Biographical Description

Joshua Corprew (d. 1809) was a resident of Tyrrell County. In 1777 he served as security for three brothers who had to appear before the Edenton District Court of Oyer and Terminer to testify about their involvement in the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. He was likely related to the three men by marriage between their families.
