ABERDEEN

May 14th, 1917.

Hon. T. W. Bickett, Governor of North Carolina,
Raleigh, N. C.

My dear Governor:-

I see in this mornings paper that you have started an agitation to stop organized baseball and put the fellows to work.

I merely want to add a word of commendation to this action of yours.

I am, under usual conditions, a baseball fan, but I insist that now is no time for a set of ablebodied, husky young fellows to be playing ball merely for the idle amusement of a crowd that should be at work.

Thanking you for taking this stand, and I hope public sentiment will force them to work, and with high esteem, I am.

Yours very truly,

Frank Page
