Be it remembered that at a Superior Court opened and held for the County of Caswell State aforesaid on the 1st Monday after the 13th Monday in September A.D. 1874, the Hon. Jno. Kerr Judge of the 7th Judicial District of the State aforesaid then and there presiding and F. N. Strudwick Solicitor of the State in and for said Judicial Dist. McBeth Barnett stood Indicted in said court for the crime of Larceny and was thereof at the said term of said court in due course of law convicted of said crime of Larceny aforesaid.
Whereupon his Honor the presiding Judge did upon said conviction pronounced upon the said McBeth Barnett the following sentence & judgment of the Law to wit
That he the said Deft. McBeth Barnett be imprisoned at hard labor in the State Prison for the period of two years from this date 7th day of October 1874.
In witness whereof I John H. Kerr Clerk of the Superior Court of Caswell County aforesaid have hereunto set my hand & the seal of my office this 10th of Oct 1874.
