Mr. A. E. Smith,
Mount Airy, N.C.

My dear Sir:-

I am glad to advise you that the proposition to establish machinery for making paper chairs in the State Prison has been definitely abandoned. Without using my name at all you may advise any furniture people who are thinking of appearing here on March 2nd that it will not be necessary.

With kind regards, I beg to remain,

Sincerely yours,

[unsigned]
