Twenty-eighth
1919

Mr. D. L. Goble,
P. O. Box 415,
Badin, N.C.

Dear Sir:

Replying further to your letter of June 25th I hand you herewith copy of a letter just addressed to the Superintendent of the Tallassee Power Company, giving my views in full on the situation at Badin. Under the circumstances I thought the letter ought to be addressed to him, but of course you can take it also as a letter addressed to yourself.

I shall have a careful investigation made of the outrages that you say have been committed against the employees by the officials of the Tallassee Power Company, and you may be sure that if these charges are sustained prosecutions will be promptly ordered.

I sincerely trust that you will give careful and sympathetic consideration to the views presented by me, favoring co-operative instead of competitive organizations in all industrial enterprises.

Very truly yours,

Governor.
