Jack, an African American man residing in Perquimans Precinct, North Carolina, was enslaved by Paul and Joanna Palmer. In 1720 the Palmers harbored Sambo, an African American man formerly enslaved by Nicholas Crisp. When the Palmers had to hide Sambo from individuals that wanted to return him to Crisp's possession, the Palmers sent Jack to Sambo's hiding place to bring him food and other supplies. Any further records regarding this individual have not been located.
