William Geane was born in Chatham County, North Carolina, in about 1775. The son of a Revolutionary War, veteran, William Geane applied for a pension of his deceased mother's behalf in He applied for a pension in 1847 but was ultimately unsuccessful. Geane died in Chatham in February 1850.
