Henry Ewing was born in Nashville, Tennessee on March 8, 1802. He worked as a clerk for Davidson County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions from 1830 until he moved to Pennsylvania in 1835. He died in Philadelphia on April 2, 1846.
