Biographical Description

John Wood Jones was born on January 7, 1892, in Greene County, North Carolina. Jones was a farmer in Snow Hill, North Carolina, when he registered for the draft during World War I. He served with the 156th Depot Brigade and the 309th Motor Transport Corp and was deployed overseas from June 1918 to May 1919. He died in Snow Hill on March 30, 1962.
