William Fagan was a resident of Tyrrell County. In 1777 he and his brothers swore three oaths of secrecy before Daniel Leggett and became members of the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. Despite being named as a conspirator, no evidence has been located indicating that William was ever brought up on criminal charges.
