Biographical Description
Oliver Hicks Allen was born in Wake County, North Carolina, on March 20, 1850. Allen served as solicitor for the sixth judicial district (1885-1894) and as a judge for superior courts in the state from 1897 until his retirement in 1923. He died in Kinston (Lenoir County) on December 16, 1925.
