Lydia Brinn was born in about 1753. A resident of Chowan County, North Carolina, she married John Robinson in 1778. In 1782 Lydia Robinson testified before the local court in a case involving Sal, an enslaved man who had been abducted. The Robinsons moved to Georgia by 1805 and Lydia Robinson died in Jasper County, Georgia on June 29, 1844.
