Biographical Description

John Quince was a resident of New Hanover County, North Carolina. An owner of enslaved people, Quince served on the local freeholders court, which heard cases involving enslaved people. During the American Revolution, he was a member of the Wilmington Committee of Safety. He died in New Hanover County sometime before January 1776.
