State vs. Alonzo Chapman
Burglary,
The Prisoner, Alonzo Chapman, is brought into court, in his proper person. The following Jurors, being charged and sworn, to wit;

Washington Wilson, Lawrence Graham, Samuel Smith, S. P. Humphrey, Henry Parker, S. B. Garris, John Tucker, Sherrod Tyson, J. R. Russell, H. J. Stokes, W. P. Norcott and Edward Buck, say that the said Alonzo Chapman is not guilty of the felony and Burglary with which he stands charged, but is guilty of the fellonious stealing of one Pistol, as charged in the Bill of Indictment. The Judgment of the Court is that the Defendant be confined in the State Prison for three years.

I, W. L. Cherry, Clerk of the Superior Court of Law, in and for the County of Pitt and State of North Carolina, do certify that the foregoing is a full, true and perfect transcript of the Record in the above entitled case, and now on [obscured by seal] in my office.
