Be it remembered that a Superior Court is on this the 15th day of March 1875 begun and held for the county of Alexander at the court House in Taylorsville before the Honorable A Mitchell Judge of the 10th Judicial District.
Where the following proceeding were had, to wit:
State 64 against Jacob Long (col)
Larceny
Defendant in Court without Counsel whereupon M. L. McCorkle is appointed by the Court to examine the Defts. case and defend for him where the following jurors, to wit:

4. T. F. Lackey
5. A. L. D. Baumgarner
6. A. L. Robnett
7. Joseph Chatham
8. J. M. Watts
9. A. C. Icehower

12. T. L. Teague
are sworn & impaneled to try the issues joined this action who return for their verdict guilty in manner and form as charged in the bill of indictment, whereupon Deft. is sentenced to the Penitenciary for 5 years and it is adjudged that he pay the costs of this action
