Be it remembered that at a Superior Court begun & held for the County of Forsyth at the Court House in Winston on the 8th Monday after 3rd Monday in March AD 1875, the same being the 10th day of May.
The Honl Jno M Cloud Judge of the 8th Judicial District present and presiding when & where the following proceedings were had to wit:
The State vs. Powhatan Sullivan
No 70 Indictment Larceny
A Jury of good and lawful men sworn & empanelled who for their verdict say that they find the Defendant guilty in manner & form as charged in the bill of Indictment.
And thereupon it is ordered by the Court now here that Powhatan Sullivan the prisoner at the bar of the Court be imprisoned at hard labor in the States prison for the term of two years and stand committed until discharged according to Law.
It is further ordered by the Court that the Sheriff of Forsyth County be charged with the execution of this sentenced and that he deliver the prisoner within the time prescribed by law to the Warden of the Penitentiary.
