The Depossition of William Felts of full age Sworne on the Holy Evangilist Saith—

That being at a Plantation on the day April ^sometime in March^ belonging to Paul Palmer he saw a Negro belonging the sd Palmer named Squash on horse back leading another horse, the next day being at the same place he saw the sd Negroe come back and another Negroe with him upon horse who had a bundle of Cloathing with him, this deponant asked Quash whether that was the Negroe that had been so much talked of meaning Mr. Crisps Negroe and whether he had taken him away—meaning from Mr. Crisp with leave or without, to which Quash answered without leave and further saith not.
