At a Court Called and held at Bute County Court house the 2d. day of May one thousand seven hundred and sixty Eight For the tryal of Ned, a Slave belonging to John Thornton & Daniel a Slave belonging to the Estate of William Williamson Deced: on Suspicion of Felony

Ned a negro slave belonging to John Thornton and Daniel a slave belonging to the Estate of WIlliam Williamson Deceased being brought before the Court on Suspicion of poisoning the said William Williamson; and other misdemeanors, on hearing the Witnesses produced against them; and all Circumstances Relating to the said Facts being Considered; The Court are of Opinion that the said Negro's Ned & Daniel are guilty of the Crime herewith they stand Charged, in such a degree as to be punishable with death, and do adjudge the said Negro Ned to be of the Value of Seventy five pounds proc. money and the said Negro Daniel to be of the Value of Eight pounds proc money

Ordered the Sheriff Execute the above Judgment on the said Ned & Daniel by hanging them by the Neck till Each of them be dead on Monday the 9th: of this Instant between the hours of twelve and three in the afternoon, and accordingly they are Executed

John Thorton & Martha Williamson of Bute allowed £155.
