Charge Larceny in the stealing of a horse the property of Nelson Russell

The Defendant Jack Parker Colored by his Counsel A. R. McDonald Esqr assigned by his Honor R. P. Buxton Judge, thus presiding Pleads not guilty. Where upon the folowing Jurors are chosen tried and sworn to by the issue towit.

Who for their verdict say they find the Defendant Jack Parker Colored guilty as Charged in the bill of indictment. Whereupon it is adjudged by the Court, the Honorable R. P. Buxton presiding, that the prisoner at the bar Jack Parker colored be imprisoned five years at hard labor in the State Penitentiary, Prisoner remanded.
