I C. M. Pace, Clerk of the Superior Court for the County and State aforesaid do hereby certify that there was a Superior Court opened and held for the County of Henderson at the Court House in Hendersonville on the 7th day of April 1873 present and presiding the Honorable J. L. Henry Judge of the 11th Judicial District of North Carolina.
When the following proceedings were had to wit
The Grand Jury returned into Court the following Bill of Indictment to wit

The Jurors for the State upon their oath present that Wm. R. Frady late of the County of Henderson on the 14th day of April AD 1873 with force and arms at and in the County aforesaid one ox of the value of sixpence of the goods and chattles of one Joseph Holbert then and there being found feloniously did steal take and carry against the form of the state in such cause made and provided and against the peace and dignity of the State.

The said W. R. Frady was then put upon his trial by the Jury and a verdict rendered of guilty.
Then the following judgement of the Court was passed.

Larceny
Judgement being prayed on the defendant by the solicitor it is therefore considered by the Court that the Defendant W. R. Frady be confined in the State Prison at hard labor for the term of (3) three years and be discharged therefrom according to law, and that T. W. Taylor Sherriff be charged with the execution of this order.
