J. O. BEASLEY
DEALER IN
GENERAL MERCHANDISE

Louisburg, N.C., June 6 1917.

Gov. T. W. Bickett;
Raleigh,
N.C.

Dear sir:

We are writing to see if you can help us keep our sons at home instead of going to the front. We will lend to the government, as long as the war lasts, one hundred acres of good land and have it cultivated in grain for the benefit of the soldiers if they can be exempted. We can not possibly carry on our farm without them. We think that they can do more at home than abroad, and can be of better service to their country.

Any help in this cause will be greatly appreciated.

And oblige,

Mr & Mrs J. O. Beasley.
