[LOCAL BOARD STAMP]

July 19, 1918.

Hon. Thos. W. Bickett, Governor,
Raleigh, N.C.

Dear Governor:-

Replying to your favor of the 26th ultimo, relative to the draft status of one Rob Cullers, said to be at West End, North Carolina, we beg to return to you the communications and enclosures sent us along with other enclosures sent us by other parties pertaining to this man. You will note the information given by Mr. M. C. McDonald, West End, North Carolina, with respect to this man, written on the foot of our letter to him of July 9th. Mr. McDonald is a man of very high character and you will note that from his investigation, he does not seem to think there is anything in the complaints made. You will note that he says that Mr. Cullers came to this County from Stokes County. The Local Board of Stokes County can probably give further information regarding his status so far as the draft is concerned.

Very truly yours,

U. L. Spence
Chairman.
