Northampton County Sst.
At a court called & held at the Court-house thereof, on Potticasi on the 18th Day of March in the 8th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third, for, the Tryal of certain Slaves vizt. Robin Jamey & Jack for the Murder of Samuel Thomas of the County aforesaid, their late master.
Present, Joseph Sikes Charles Thompson & Drury Gee Esqrs. Justices & Thos. Wilburne Thos. Parker Harwood Jones & Allen Jones Freeholders—duly sworn
And thereupon Robin was brought into court and being examined confessed that he murdered the said Samuel Thomas his late Master.
Then Jack, supposed an accessary in the said murder, was brought into Court, & upon the Testimony offered against him & his own Confession, it was the Opinion of the Court that he was privy and accessary to the aforesaid Murder.
Then came before the court Jamey, also supposed accessary and upon the Testimony given agt. him & his Confession the Court was of Opinion that he was likewise privy & accessary to the Murder of the said Samuel Thomas.
Whereupon they were found guilty of the Murder the said Samuel Thomas & condemned to be hanged, valued as follows—Robin to £60. Jack to £40. & Ja[mey] to £60: Proc:
Ordered that the said Slaves be hanged 'till they are dea[d] that the Sheriff proceed to execute the said Sentence forthwith
