Peter Brown complains of Richard Graham in custody &c for that to wit that whereas the same Peter on the [intentionally blank] day of [intentionally blank] in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and [intentionally blank] in the county of [intentionally blank] in the said district bargained with the aforesaid Richard to buy of the said Richard a certain negro man slave named Jupiter, the aforesaid Richard then and there knowing the said slave to be very dishonest and to be addicted to the practice of eloping from his master ^there & then^ falsly and fraudulently bargained and sold the said slave to the said Peter, warranting him the said slave to be honest and faithful to his master and not addicted to the practice of eloping from his master, for a great sum of money to wit for [intentionally blank] which said slave then and there [illegible illegible illegible illegible illegible] ^was of very dishonest & bad character^ and continually since hath been, very dishonest, and unfaithful to the said Peter his master, and hath repeatedly eloped from the said Peter so that he is of no value to him the said Peter; wherefore the said Peter saith that he is injured and hath damage to the value of two hundred pounds & thereof brings suit &c
