Be it remembered, that at a Superior Court begun and held for the County of Warren, at the court-house in Warrenton, on the second Monday after the second Monday of February A.D. 1875, before the Honorable Samuel W. Watts, Judge, and the Hon: J. C. L. Harris, Solicitor, is present and prosecutes in behalf of the State—
The following proceedings are then and there had and held to wit:
State vs. Scott Nicholson, col.
Indictment for larceny & receiving. Pocket book, knife, Jars, molasses, preserves, meal, flour, bacon, &c.
The following jurors, to wit, Thomas B. Watson, James K. Plummer, James H. Southall, Henry S. Shearin, Richard W. Kearney Jr, Frederick King, James Pennington, col, Henry Eaton, col, D. H. Reavis, J. H. Duke, D. W. McCraw, and W. H. Edwards, being chosen tried and sworn to speak the truth of and concerning the matter in the bill of Indictment charged upon their oaths say that the defendant is guilty—
Judgement of the court that the defendant Scott Nicholson be confined at hard labor in the Penitentiary for three years.
