The Jurors for the State of North Carolina upon their oath present, that Ismael Bunch late of Chowan County Planter, on the thirteenth day of December in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty two, with Force and Armes at the County ^of Chowan^ Unlawfully did enter the House of a certain Elizabeth Jones And one negro Slave called Sal of the Value of two hundred Pounds Specie, the Property of the said Elizabeth Jones, then and there being found, did take and lead, drive and carry away to the Great Damage of the said Elizabeth Jones and against the Peace and Dignity of the State.
