David Hines Jnr on his Oath Says that he was at his fathers House in Company with Jehu Tison and heard Tison Say he had gott his negro Boy meaning as this deponant understoof Jim Bowser a boy which he had hired of Mr Allen Sugg Guardian of Joel Tison and that he had whipted him well that the Boy pretended to be Sick but that he belived it to be Only deceit and this deponant further Sayeth that he heard Tison say he had been put to Some Trouble to gitt the Boy that he had been Out the best part of a night and that he Drank near One Quart of Brandy before he got him and that when he did git him he Tyed him and made him Carry his Saddle and Run best part of the way home that Mr Carry Tison had offered ^him^ Twenty Shillings more for the boy then he was to give but that he would not be off the Bargain this deponant further Sayeth that by Mr Tisons Discourse and Actions he had Jurked the Rope with which the Boy was Tyed whilst on the way home and further this deponant Sayeth not
